now i know the stock sr ECU cant be custom tuned but a few friends were tellling me if i can get a air fuel controler i wont need a tuned ecu.. i think its bs but

anyone know what i need for the brain of my car

The only SR's I've heard of that have issues with ROM-tuning are the Type X blacktops. If you don't have a Type X blacktop, you should have no problem ROM tuning your ECU.

ROM tuning is how Jim Wolf does it...

Anyways, a piggy back usually can alter the signal for the injectors to go 50% over stock usually. Which allows you for up to about a 550cc injector.

You will need a new airflow meter. Stock meters crap out at around 250-280 whp.

You really need to do some research as these are basic upgrades for SRs
