Hey guys,

I just got my car back from having the SR20DET installed and the engine tends to run hot. The temp gauge isn't in the red, but it's very high. Is this common with the SR20DET or is there something I should do to keep the temp down.

Thanks,

Kyle

It's not running hot, you didn't change the temperature sending unit to the one in your KA, did you? If you hook the stock gauge up to the SR sending unit, it runs "hot". It's not. Put a KA unit in there, or don't pay attention to the stock gauge.

Thanks Brandon. I'll talk to the guy who did my swap and find out if that is the problem. I appreciate your help.

Best get an aftermarket water temp gauge/sensor...http://www.phase2motortrend.com sells the blitz rad. hose with the attatchment for the water temp sensor built in.
