im hating life right now. my sr wont start. the motor cranks but it wont start. the car cranks good, battery is good. when i go to start it the motor turns but there is like a wierd sound that seem to come from under the intake manifold, and the only thing near there is the starter. could it be my starter solenoid? it sounds like a scratching noise. i took out my cas and turned it by hand with the ignitor disconnected and i can hear the injectors clicking, so i think its not that. i had a buddy plug in my ignitor in his car and it started fine, so its not that. i checked my ecu and its not burnt. i plugged a noid light in each of the injector connectors and i wasn't getting any pulse...could my ecu be bad, but not burnt??? tomorrow i am going to disconnect the fuel rail and make sure i am getting fuel. and i will double check for spark. with the clutch interlock relay cause the started not to catch? help me out i wanna get my 240 back on the road. thanks

Can You jump start it?

If so, it sounds to me like you have a starter situation ie. battery, connection cables, relay, starter/solenoid etc

If you cannot jump start it, then it sounds like you may have a fuel supply situation ie; pump, fpr, injectors etc.

good luck

By "jump start", do you mean "push start" or "pop the clutch", or do you mean hooking up someone else's car to the battery via jumper cables? I am assuming you mean "push start" because where I come from, "jump start" means hooking up jumper cables.

Try push starting the car. If it starts, check the starting components as mentioned by PhopsonNY. If it doesn't, make sure you are getting spark all the way to the spark plugs.
