No its the signal wire that tells the starter to turn over. The starter grounds through the transmission there is no ground wire specificly for the starter. The starter grounds through the transmission and then through the eninge grounds.

Souns as if you have a problem between the ignition switch to the starter. Check the back of the ignition switch on the start signal wire see if it get 12v or close to. If so then you can by pass the system and run a wire from it to the starter prong.

You need to do some look for a FSM. Your asking a lot of questions which can be answered by using the search button.

i was just about to have a nervous breakdown whne my niebor came and helped me, it was the dumbest thing. all he did was switched some relays over from one fuse box to the other one she cranked and started. ran for about 10 seconds then died, the reason why is because i dont have any rad fluid in her nor do i have all the vaccum hoses connected ill give u an update tomorrow night

sounds like the problem my car is having. i just bought a new battery and it didn't crank the second time i tried start car.

im pretty damn sure i need a new starter solenoid b/c it start when i tap the solenoid. i'll come back with an update if anyone cares. i just need to spend about $50 for a new solenoid.

should i get a new starter(car has a new flywheel) or just the solenoid?
