HAHAHAHAHA

It's not that funny but you seem to be taking it pretty good so I thought I would make it humourous.Ah well, rebuild time = more boostGood luck with it.

yeah, just money right?crank journals with piston sqirter gallery visiblewhat number four cyl wall should look likeupside down blockright side up blockblown piston next to cadillac northstar v8 piston for comparison

as you can see i lost the ring lands between compression rings and between comp 2 and oil rings.a close inspection made it to appear that there was a casting flaw in my piston(maybe). i know the engine was overheated badly by the guy i got it from in a drift competition. i also know that the compression was dropping gradually since day one of my swap. after 3 months of me beating on it she started pumping oil out the breather. so, i drover her to my moms and took her apart. thought i was just going to rering her. had no idea the piston was broke. you would think it would make a funny noise or something with me driving it like that. nope, just a little less horsepower.

dude thats F#%$en sucks! I detonated my motor 4 months ago and put in a new one on Labor Day. I wish I would have kept my old block for a build up i am planning. Good luck with your new build, BTW where and how much did you pay to get your head P&P'ed?

my father in law did it. usually i am wary of "in family" port jobs but he is an industrial machinist(professionally) who races/builds motorcycles on the side. he knew alot of the secrets that i had to do research to find out. he did it for free(i owe him a favor now!). its not a "race" port but rather a mild street port that revolves around keeping intake velocity high and keeping exhaust heat out of the head casting(as much as possible anyway).
