Alright Im having a issue with my sr. And this only happens at very light and low throttle 5-15% range. It is basically impossible to drive the car at a cruise around the street, i have to either be on it or off. If Im driving and i give it light throttle it chokes, its like the car doesnt have any fuel, it sputters and breaks up bad. Once I give it more gas it goes away and its fine. Now at idle and sitting still if I give it very light throttle the car with start surging revs up and down up and down up and down. I dont know where to start. I have a safc2 hooked up to it(i double checked all of my wiring and everything is good.) and im getting a signal from the maf and the tps. Have any of you guys had a problem like this or can give me some pointers to touch. Thanx a lot guys

Check for vacuum leaks, try a new fuel filter. Check your plugs too for discoloration, although I would expect a sparking issue to effect your more at higher RPMS.

Thankyou for your input. Yeah I already checked all vacuum lines and the fuel filter is pretty much brand new. I have also checked the plugs as well. Im thinking its a maf or tps problem

Yeah, have you checked if the car has any codes? I've had a faulty maf, though it wasn't actually "bad", it was reading stupid high voltages though. So be sure to check the voltages even if you don't have a maf code.

is it at certian rpm or does it break up no matter what , also if u go full throttle does it go away in upper rpms? bc at 2200 rpms my car would buck and studder it was bc my tps was out of place (rpm depending on position of tps urs might not be 2200)

Ive tried everything.
Adjusting the tps
Cleaning the maf
Checking my safc2 wiring
Checking engine wiring
Checking iacv

Still breaks up at light throttle(sitting still at light throttle it surges)

:(

No codes from the ecu.

It only does it on very light throttle and low rpm range as well.

Throttle- 5 to 15 percent
rpm- 1300-1900

Ok this might sound odd thing but give it a shot. I had the same issues with my Redtop, unplug your O2 sensor. I had a problem with the wires in my harness being backwards and it was causing a short in the ECU. I unplugged it and it never did it again.

I could let off throttle and it would be fine, I could accelerate fine but if I tried to hold constant throttle while cruising and it would just stumble, shake and fall on its face. I unplugged the O2 on accident and it ran fine after that. Plugged it back in and it ran like crap again.

I agree with blown. Sounds like it's a lean misfire.

If they let us start giving custom titles again, you're getting "The Grave Robber". Either way, it's nice that you're at least reviving threads that never had a conclusion. :) Typically, when someone stops replying to a thread like this, it's because the suggested method worked for them.

You are right there, they stop replying, they probably found a solution... but i am not sure it is the suggested one.
All the suggestions are useful either way.
cheers
