My speedo isn't working!

So, I just picked up a 1989 Nissan 240sx coupe. Bone stock other than a magnaflow muffler and pioneer radio. Super clean for a 25 year old car. The guy told me when we test drove that the speedometer doesn't work. He's checked all the sensors and they're all working. He said it could be a crack in the cold solder. Anyone else ever have this problem? I wanna keep this cluster because it's original to the car and it' only has 139,4xx miles on it. Any help is appreciated.

You may want to disassemble the dash and check the back of the cluster to see if a connection is bad or burnt out.
Alternatively, you can replace the speed sensor on the transmission, too.
