just picked her up last week, the previous owner must have been a complete douche. evidence for this claim is the BOMZZZZZZZ racing seats (ungodly ugly and uncomfortable) and he must have kept a dog locked up in the car alot with all the scratch marks found.

other than that it is very clean, 6 speed is amazing and the power is ridiculous compared to my previous stock 240

future plans- replace the seats with whats suppose to be there **anyone selling their spec seats?**

its an 03 with 91k, paid 7500$. prolly a little to much but its what i was looking for and im happy with the purchase

yea im calling the dealer the next free second i have to run the vin and see if its got any recalls done. Im hesitant to dive into putting a header on my DD just incase something goes wrong and i am left carless. it will have to wait untill spring at the earliest. similer situation for the butterfly screws, does anyone know of a writeup for doing them? or maybe how much a shop would charge for loctiting them?

What's with all the hating on racing seats? I have bucket racing seats on my car, and not only do they look good with the color scheme of the spec-v but I find them extremely comfortable.

Given the name, it sounds like the ones in this car are a crappy brand and generally just crap. Not to mention that on a DD they're rather pointless. To each his own.

To the OP: I brought up the header because of the precat issues. Even if you get the recall done/it's been done, it's still liable to disintegrate and destroy your engine. I can understand being weary of modding it, but this is a longevity issue moreso than a performance one, albeit with performance benefits.

yes they are both pointless and crappy but your more than welcome to purchase them from me haha

yea i understand i just know from my experiances with my old 240 the unexpected problems that you can run into when starting a DIY upgrade/mod. do you have any suggestions for a good replacement thats not hard on the wallet? how would you rate a header install difficulty 1-10 (i have moderate mechanical experiance but not to many tools now.)

anyone with spec seats???

The only other proven option to be 100% sure that you won't lose an engine to precat death is to gut the cat, which takes more work.

A header install is probably a 4. 2 for the actual install, the added 2 for the extra work involved (O2 sensor issues, check the Table of Contents for the Common Fixes thread for your options). The install itself is very easy, especially given that the header is right in the front of the engine bay.

On that scale, a 1 is changing your oil, a 10 is a DIY turbo setup or a basic engine swap. Obviously there are more difficult things than even that, but those would be extreme cases.

I've seen those seats on Ebay before.

good news, im getting replacement seats for my birthday (thanks to mom and the g/f) only problem is that they are lava so it wont exactly match. ill be happy to have comfortable good looking stock seats but i hope them not matching wont clash to much. in the future ill try and find some lava rear seats i guess.

so yea, now ill start shopping for a header since tax money is coming soon
