hurry up and let me see some fitment. I want to get away from my bmc, I have not lost brakes in this chassis(all the same s*** from my old car down to the bmc) ,but fear that they could fail me in a heated drift session.
Wrap everything in alum foil, shiny side in. Ghetto but effective

have a ghetto fab heat shield already, made from aluminum, as well as the fiberglass/foil stuff off AC lines around the brake lines, and some around the MC and that has a dizzy cover on it Maybe I should spray it with high temp?

Not sure maybe it was a fluke, happen one time on this manifold directly after install.

end

Holy F dude. I just got off the floor because I had a seizure trying to read that paragraph that looks like a single sentence with more then one topic and no grammar to speak of at all. Between you and Josh...I swear

As far as experience on the 240 goes, I don't have a ton. I've boosted my S14 and just recently got a new motor swapped in it after 3 years of sitting. All of my turbo experience comes from the time I spent on Okinawa. I had 2 Skylines that I cut my teeth on. I don't speak Japanese so I was forced to read...alot. So I looked at what the GN guys were doing. I read about how different sized turbo's act differently etc. I popped 6 motors total while I was over there. All because I was trying to break 500whp with stock internals. I could easily do it today, but back then I made lots of mistakes. I had no wide band, only a MSD Knock Alert and a narrow band...which is worthless.

That's where I started building my own alky kits. I upgraded to a tunable progressive controller, ran dual nozzles and enough methanol to kill an entire herd of cows. I hit 498...

I have no idea where to get a cluster for the S13.

I fully support NORML.

WD

sure I live in florida good bad and ugly but seriously find what?

high temp is at any parts store, get the highest they have a glowing manifold tells me temps get pretty hawt IDK where my piece of aluminum even came from. But I quickly hacked it to shape and bent it to fit. With the old manifold it fit like cake, now it rubs and makes noise on start up

suspension/ nothing worse than a 4x4 240sx, unless you live in the sticks and have to.

IMHO a 2" drop all around is nice and remains drivable on rough roads at low speed. Tein and gr2s shine unless you are a serious driver(drift/track use) Had them first then sold for coil overs. My buddy had some godspeeds and loved them, they looked just like my ksports(love/hate relationship...) but 300 bux cheaper.

We need some info on the goal of your car. Are you into style, or performance, you gonna do drag racing? A lot of things help us help you make decent decisions. Improving the old worn out stock stuff is always a good idea.

also quick question im a noob when it comes to turbos and rebuilt but i have a bud whos selling a garrett t3/t4 ar.42 and its rebuilt but its super cheap 130 bucks and it also has a custom snell inlet thats fabricated at a 90 degree angle . Is a rebuilt turbo really that reliable or what should i look for when buying this turbo

DO NOT BUY EBAY TURBOS UNLESS THEY ARE A NAME BRAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

ok now thats over.

Get more specs on the turbo, but it sounds like what I have. .48 is the s*** for a ka. Fast spool and can handle your goal. You want pretty much NO in out or side to side if this is a fresh rebuilt snail. Who rebuilt it? The guy or a company? If he did it did he balance it? If the turbo was rebuilt by a pro its well worth the 130 he wants.

I paid 80 bux for a box of turbo ish for a honda ,from some kid, had 2 turbos,manifold,smic,5 to 3 bolt flapper assembly, civic downpipe. I call it 40 for the good turbo and 40 for a box of s*** I sold for more than I paid. Offer him a hundred bux cash.

And make sure you pre lube the turbo if it is indeed rebuilt! think engine assembly lube

not at all fu** that sh** lol ive read enough to the point were i should stay way from them but the turbo is a garrett and actualy its not rebuild the guy said he bought it off a respectable guy here in az and was gona use it on his bike but didnt work out also it has like a 90degree snail inlet it looks pretty dope either way thats a steal! i only spent 725.00 on my build soo i think im doing pretty good for things ive gotten gladman manifold, garrett t3/t4 ar.42 turbo, new taurus dual elec, fan z32 maf, and my s13 digital cluster came in today!

im waiting on the taurus fan to install my cluster and fan and i also need to change out m stock exhaust its fuc##ng annoying when it rattles and my belts too either they have be titer or replaced but i dought it becuase i did a tune up like 2 3 months ago and made a full tuned up soo ill b doing that next weekend when i get a chance and that fan comes in

yep, went directly through the impeller and out the nozzle, where it began to melt and shoot little black bits all over my maf, while I was driving. That led to the second to last rebuild of my old block.... lame but yeah the snail lasted abou a month after that, eating its impeller blades.

550's will do 250 all day everyday. Heck, with a small bump in fuel pressure the factory injectors can almost make 250...lol.
