i found out brake fluid is leaking into my car and don't know if its the clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder thats broken or leaking. all i know is its leaking down the clutch pedal and leaving a nasty stain on my floor mat. either way i need to repair it or buy a brand new one. they have never been replaced before so i don't know if i should just by a new one or what. any opinions or ideas on how i should go about this?

If its running down your clutch pedal then its the master cylinder as the slave cylinder is on the side of the transmission bellhousing.

I'd replace it. Repairing it would require a kit and would still require you to remove it from the car. *IF* you can even find that repair kit, you'd be better off replacing the master, then repairing your old one and sticking it on a shelf for later. Or you could send it my way cause I need the hydraulics to do my auto/manual swap.
