My sister bought a Versa Friday.

Well, long story short, my sister moved back from LA, carless, is married and prego. Kissing her dreams of owning a Mini Cooper S goodbye, she went off looking for a family car and came home with a '10 Versa hatch. She originally had purchased an '08 w/50k, but due to a paperwork snafu, she was able to grab a new one, in black, for just $50/mo more…and only had 23mi.

Now I’ve never been a fan from looking at them online, but in real life, they’re not too bad. The cockpit (dare I call it that on this kind of car?) is quite roomy, reminding me of the ’09 Civic I had for a short time. The back has a surprising amount of room for an average sized adult and there’s enough room in the boot for a family trip to the grocery store.

…Oh and to top it off, it gets almost twice the gas mileage my Explorer gets!

She’s only had it 2 days and has yet to hit 200 miles on it, but because of all the rain we’ve been getting it’s already dirty. Her birthday is in late May so I’m thinking since I have all of my car care products for my black s2000, which is now sold, I might spend the day detailing her car.
