When i shift to first gear sometimes my shifter twist....sometimes it does it in other gears to and it scares the hell out of me...i already checked the shift knob and it seems good...so something must be wrong with the shifter itself....anybody know what could be wrong???

check the plastic assembly under the rubber boots of the shifter. You'll find some busted pieces if it's spinning like that. Pretty weird though, since it's using some metal pins to hold it in place and so on.

look further than just the rubber boot. you'll need to pull some c-rings to get to the part that holds your shifter in place.

There is a metal pin that keeps the shifter from spinging. Its about 3 inches long and it runs horizonally on the shifter. Its under the c clip and everything so your going to have to take it all out. I dont know how hard it is to replace this part, but thats what keeps it still
