So I finally got around to getting my sfd installed this weekend. Me and a buddy started work at around 8pm and worked til about 3am. We got the majority of the hard stuff done. Right now as it sits all that has to be done is to bolt down the subframe to the blocks which are already mounted to the body, mount the strut spacers on the struts and to fix the steering joint. The joint that came with my kit has to be modified alot to get it to work, but we have plan for it. After that I have to fix my alignment and I should be golden. Waiting on the rear brake line to get here to install the rear lift, so I will be rolling around town with 6in up front and 2in the back....CALI LEAN FTMFW :bowrofl: Here is a pic of how we left her for the night. Im trying to take as many pics as I can but often dont find time. Pics will be posted once the lift is done and things have settled.

EDIT: Where the subframe sits in this pic is only about an inch down from were it will be bolted to so as you can see its goin to be a big mutha trucka :bigthumb:

Yes, I know my alignment is screwed, but the crackhead who built this pos kit was a dumbass. Working on fixing the steering issues tomorrow then new strut spacers with the correct angle will be here thursday. Measurement from the ground to the bottom of the fender flare is 43 inches. From the ground to the bottom of the subframe is 16inches

Quick updates, been driving her around like that for a day and the only issues really are not being able to see out my rear window but 10 feet and the steering wheel being in the wrong location. Other than that she drive better than before, smoother over bumps too. Also my existing wheel shake that I had before the lift went from being at 50-55 to starting around 43 and ending around 50 which isnt that huge of a deal. Its probably due to my tires being so out of round, or out of balance. Its non existant once you are over 50mph which is the good news. Could also be due to the fact that one strut spacer is a half inch taller than the other at the moment..... Onto some pics I took in terms of heights and stuff.

looks good! Would fit in around here - tons of "bros" with lifts in the front but no lift in rear lol.

Definitely get your wheel balance checked. Or try a rotation. vibrating wheels can wear out your suspension, driveline, and steering!!

I may have missed it but where did you get that lift? Thought the guy Prado that made the lifts stopped making them a long time ago? That is amazingly high!! Nice Work!

Uhh I had quite the perdicament to get my lift. But basically I spent 800 bucks two years ago and just got my kit over this past summer. Just got around to installing it a few weekends ago. But now there is a company out that makes sfd's and can ship them in a week to your door for half the price of what I paid for mine.

In terms of an update. I got my front alignment figured out and recieved my rear brake line on my birthday...best birthday ever btw! Turning 21 is fucing sweet..free drinks anyone? Hope to install the rear lift sometime this weekend. Here are some side shots and stuff. The camber issues from the pics have to be corrected but its no big deal to do and will be done this weekend.

Have you figured out the issue with your horn/airbag etc (probably the spiral cable)?

I figured out that I broke the clock spring which sucks. Need to get a new one off of ebay (50-70 bucks) and install that. In terms of the SFD kit company there is a company started by a few guys that made their own sfds and stuff over on NPORA. I know one of the co owners and he is a chill guy and their kit is solid and can take a beating. Company is called Krypton Fabrications. The one down side with their lift is that you HAVE to use the Jeep WJ lift coils with the supplied adapter with their kit...the coils cost an additional 130 bucks so that bumps the price up to around 520-550 shipped im guessing. Here is a link to the website...im tellin yall....you need to JOIN NPORA if you have not already....bunches of info over there!

You also may have to get a different steering joint and stuff if you plan on using this kit with the 2in lift coils...so keep that in mind.

Yep aluminum skidplate is in the works. Just need to find some time to get up to the shop and bend one up.

No longer receiving updates from Nico on posts etc. Thanks for the info! Will check out the link. You know have one of my favorite Pathfinders out there! Tinted tails, dark grey stock wheels, silver color all look incredible together.

Happy 21st-enjoy it! You should celebrate and send me your stock step bars. :)

Looking forward to seeing more pics once the rear is lifted as well.

At the rate things are going, I may have to put the stock step rails back on. A few of the lady friends have complained about how big of a step it is :rotfl And its just going to get worse once the rear is lifted up

Well the 35's will have to wait til I get offset wheels. As is there is no way a 12.50 wide tire will fit on the truck, the rear is even looking like it needs wheel spacers now cause the wheels and tires look kinda sucked in. My plan at the moment is this.... Find 2 replacement front tires 285 75 16 BFG AT's, make some extended rear links to help center the rear axle again, then get wheels and tires but that is a ways away, atleast until I get a job. Also looking into making a drop panhard bracket. It does not have one right now and we measured and did not see any axle shift side to side.

Aside from that there are a few little maintenance jobs that need to be done such as Strut Bearings which moan now when its cold out, ball joints, spark plugs, extended rear breather, replace drivers side front cv (which I have) and replace clock spring and center steering wheel.

Driving now is much improved over just the 2in with 33's. I have not had a single issue with struts topping out since the lift its amazing knowing I can go over bumps now at a higher speed without that terrible KUUUUKLUNKKKKK, and the rear also seems alot more plush. It still handles pretty well, body roll is of course a little worse than it was before but its still completely manageable. Overall this is a great lift solution for a pathy. I will try to make a video later that I can put on youtube as well as complete my install thread over on NPORA...I have til this point covered and have all the pics from the rear lift to still put up.
