mmmmmmm battle version rear suspension pieces are good stuff.

Dunno how worth it is is to have a CF driveshaft though.

Wow...that's pretty impressive. I would have to sell a kidney (possibly not my own) to afford all of that.

I was startin' to freak because the stuff I was lookin' at was adding up to about $1200. I suddenly feel a bit better. ;)

Just out of curiousity, I assume the reason for the carbon fibre driveshaft to is to make the car a bit more light? How much weight does it save you?

I always thought the point of a carbon fiber driveshaft was to aid in acceleration. Of course it will make the car slightly lighter as well.

add about 35-70 more, you have to do alignment...

Well the thing I was saying about the carbon driveshaft is why are you doing it? Wouldn't it be cheaper and just as good to get a 1 piece aluminum unit? They only weigh like 10 lbs...

alluminum twists a little bit over time, and eventually breaks, carbonf fiber has nearly 100% elasticity, so it never stays twiststed, also it weighs about 6lbs for the entire driveshaft.

yeah, its gonna be a fun setup, most of it wil be getting done this summer, I'll be posting pics of installs and things.-chet

Let me know when you have the CF driveshaft done and your final costs. I wouldn't mind getting that done as well....I'm running out of things to do to my car. :D

will do. although Im leaning toward the tein HE, after some consultation with the IMSA racers arounde here. Most seem to think, after hassis lightening, 10kg/mm and 8kg/mm is far too stiff for my car, even for road racing...

either way, Im still getting some nice coilovers, HE or RE, the C/f shaft will be in about 2 months. coilovers are next, because the NISMO diff isn't going to be here(in the US) until mid-may...:( but oh well.I'll keep you posted bro.-chet

Can you run the HE's with your wheels exar? Tein says on s13's to run less than 38mm offset on 6.5in rims. That is 4mm less clearence than the stock rims/tires and to attain that in 7.5in rims you'd have to run 25mm offset or less. Which would stick out like a motha.

I didn't see anything on bushings on your list.

I have upgraded some of my parts but my main complaint is my bushings. I see you are picking hardcore parts so maybe a set of pillow bushings should be added to the list.

I saw a set that replaces everything in the rear that went for 700.

Most the bushings will be replaced when the battle version parts go in, all that remains after the switch are the sub-frame bushings, and the front lower control arm busshings(which I've already done with NISMO units)

Cool. I just found out that the 350Z has a carbon fiber driveshaft too. Learn something new every day. It's just amazing that the entire thing only weights 6 lbs.

How much does the stock drive shaft weigh?

Good point. I get lost with my lists. I have one with arms and with bushings using the stock arms. I get lets say confused every once in a while. HAHHAHA

rougly 21-22lbs for stock driveshaft. also, 240_keyy's 17x7.5 +40 konigs barely cleared his TEIN HEs, and he used a 5mm spacer for extra room(bringing net offset to 35mm), and mine at 30mm, so I should be fine :D

Have you thought about the BYP Delrin bushings for $150 instead of the Nismos?

Have you lightened your flywheel yet? Whatchya running for tires? (i'm just curious...i wish i could pay that sort of money for suspension..but..uh...no...looking like 300 dollars for new struts this summer and as many bushings as i can do will be about it, plus some 200 dollar set of tires..grr)

yeah, I already have a JUN chromoly flywheel and ACT six-puck racing clutch....and a lot of other stuff. I run 225-45-17 Pzero asymetrico tires right now...

Im contemplating either a set of DOT legal competition tires(A023R, pilot sport cup, Pzero corsa) or maybe swapping to a bridgestone S-03 just for kicks sometime, but my Pzeros are great.

I got mine through options auto salon, JUN does not list the KA flywheel anymore. You can e-mail JUN about it. dennis kalaman has one also....its nice, and I probably wont even have to replace it.-chetoh, the driveshaft is custom from advanced composites, if I decide to go that route. I'm kind of waffling between C/f and the alluminum shaft fron enjuku.http://www.acpt.com/index.html
