my second gear grinds.

its the only gear that does it. it has no problem getting in second its just that you here it grind. my friend said its probably a bad syncro. have any of you had this problem?

Its a bad syncro. Some people will repair it when it gets bad enough. I don't mind it most of the time, I use to shift around it until it got unbearable. I have been through my share of transmissions. $150 gets you a decent used one, usually cheaper than having someone throw a syncro in. I did see a trans rebuild kit on ebay for just under $100 if you want to try your luck at that.
