Figured I would make a thread for me and my friends swap. Will post up any questions I have in this thread and pictures as well.

This was my afternoon today. First finished up putting my friends Golf back together, just had to do misc wiring from his transmission swap:

Next we pulled his SR20 motor out of his S15 front clip, fun fun:

And she is out, along with the 6spd trans. Fun times, no wires cut

Check out the sweet HKS coilovers that came with the clip:

Also the car it is going into. Stock KA24DE blew a headgasket.

She is a bit dusty, hasnt moved since last winter when it blew the headgasket haha!

And anybody know which turbo this is? Is it he stock T28? And which manifold?(I know, hard to tell with the exhaust wrap)

Yup, got the entire rear diff, axles, calipers, rotors, and all which is already installed on the S14

The clip came with complete engine bay, headlights, HKS coilovers, and complete rear subframe.

Any specific reason why you went with the S15 motor? Considering parts are not as widely available and the transmission is "weaker". Just curious.

Cryo treat the transmission and you're good for 500+whp even with the weaksauce 3rd gear. Its really not that expensive and finding a used but good 6spd SR trans is laughable. Mazworx has a lot of diff trans adapter plates ton run anything from a GM Turbo400 trans to an early model 300z trans and everything in between. That is also another route you could go.

MazworkX adapter plates are rediculously over priced the real high compression ratio of that motor real limits what you can do without cracking it open again.

Nice buy. Dont worry about the transmission untill you actually blow it up.

I had no problems with my all stock S15 SR with 6 speed so far on my S13 hatch best time 13.4 102mph 1/4 mi, you just be carefull putting it reverse accidently, you might think its the 6th gear . Ussually this is the first thing they blew the reverse accidently.

I think he paid around $4000 + shipping, kind of high, but came with complete rear subframe assembly, HKS coilovers, front spindles/brakes, and a few other adjustable aftermarket parts.

Not sure, didnt look too closely at the manifold. Is that a bad thing?

Im not going to worry about it untill it happens haha. Nothing outrageous is planned for this car, just a reliable 350-400whp.

I must admit, I dont know hardly anything about Nissans. I have always been a Mitsubishi guy so I know a lot about my car which is a swapped turbo fwd Galant haha.
