That is why I plan on keeping my Supra even after putting the RB in my 240SX. I believe I should have a picture of it, let me look.Seanzyyy wrote:the supra days.
*sigh*
had an 86.5 myself.
bought it for 400 bucks non-running,
running after 600,
and sold for 1000.
every now and then i think about what it could've been had i kept it and put money into it.
it had a super straight body on it and the interior (minus the seats) was in amazing shape.
ahh well.
haha
anywayzzz
the car sounds awesome man!
looks good too!
are you gonna keep it black or go with a different color if/when it gets a paint job?
IBoughtAS13 wrote:You Supra was a 91 or 92? It has the rare Sunroof. Your a douchebag for selling that. They are worth a lot now, extremely rare.
Propellor? You mean the yolk on the back of the gearbox? Did you do anything timing related to your RB20? Waterpump, pulleys and gaskets? How does the RB20 pull, if it is pretty good, then I will do that instead of a RB25 and bolt on a huge spoolable turbo.
Car was sold to my dads good friend. I loved the car but at the time wanted a newer car. I made min wage back then so having two cars was just out of reach. But yea, wish i still had it. Spent all my money on her. Down to the custom paint job. I had older Supra enthusiast giving me props. They obviously didnt like the wing, but be fair and judge me on the curve system... this was around the time when aluminum wings were the first mod installed on stock 4 door 90's civics, altezza lights were all the craze and the vader body kit was legit. lol, i hated all that stuff when everyone loved it.IBoughtAS13 wrote:You Supra was a 91 or 92? Very true... enjoying it is an understatement! Sorry for the dormant build thread. Not a whole lot goin on besides soaking in the fruits of my labor! But here's a small update.IBoughtAS13 wrote:Looks like this thread is dead now since CA is not answering anything. Can't really blame him, who wouldn't want to be enjoying an RB20.

supersayianjim wrote:hey ca. i noticed you switched out youre wheels for some z32 stockers(iam looking for some as we speak) my 17"s (from a g35 coupe) won't allow the front wheels to turn. what size tires do you have on the front?? as i used the same hub/brake setup you did with the stock suspension height..
also check out my build.. iam done but haven't uploaded everything yet(done minus the wheel tire issue and a whine in my diff).

How;d you learn to paint so good?
I had to use and modify the original ps line from the r32. My swap came with it attatch to the ps reservoir so i was lucky. But i ran the return over my intake pipe and under my boost pipes. Hard to get it in pics, but tried my bestgonshik007 wrote:Hey Man I am also have an rb20det in my s13 and right now I am having some issues with the power steering return hose, Did you just right yours wright form the power steering rack to the reserver like straight line or did your cross over to the passenger side and then back to the drivers side into the reserver? Could you take a closer pic if that if you can?

Yea, atleast 5mm to clear the strut. Tires comes real close. But yea, more updates later. HID's came in the mail as well as local find. Wingless trunk with Silvia trunk lock. Looks nice. Here's a pic from my point and shoot camera... before HID installgonshik007 wrote:the z32 TT wheels might fit. But the NA will not clear the strut!

Thanks man, more updates!Coolwhip wrote:your car looks sick! keep up the good work.

I'm pretty sure I have n/a wheels. The only difference is that the TT wheels had 16X8.5 rears and 16X7.5 fronts. And on N/A wheels it was 16X7.5 all around. And i didnt have to do anything to the bulb housing. Do you have bricks, or projectors?supersayianjim wrote:okay. but to you have tt wheels?? and did you have to modify the bulb housing for the hid's like i had to??
