Hey guys.

I recently bought a set of JDM Racing Sparco rims ("speeders" is the specific model). Needed TONS of rehab, which I've been doing (16 hours of sanding / polishing / buffing / painting). They will be ready to mount and balance in a day or two (finishing the gunmetal paint tonight).

I had previously posted that they were 16x7 and 16 x8. I was wrong. After grinding through all the corrosion and funk, I fnid casting marks that say they are actually 16x9 and 16x8!!!

So, I need to know what tire size(s) I should go with, keeping in mind the following:

1) I hate the "Tijuana stretch" (sorry Ryan).2) I am lowered almost 1.75"3) I am on a limited (very limited) budget.

Thanks y'all!

Maybe 225/50/16 for the front and 245/50/16 for the rear.

^ I agree with DoriDori, those are the best sizes you're going to get for rims that wide.

Yokohama's usually aren't too much, and are excellent tires. But budget tires = budget performance, you may not be happy with what you get.

those size tires are great when used on a set of 300zx TT wheels. The measurements are 16x7.5/16x8.5. I think with only a half inch difference, youll see a NICE fitting tire on there.

yokohama avs es-100's are my top choice right now.

better match(IMO)=

225-50-16 and 245-45-16 (twin turbo 300zx stock sizes)

LOTS of sticky stuff available in those sizes AZ. (I dislike the 245-50-16..its a camaro size...blargh.)

get a set of yokohaam es-100's, or something similar..does this car see snow, heavy rains, etc...

my top "for the money" picks are:-AVS sport(yokohama) or ES-100-Bfgoodrich G-force sport(relatively new tire, I can only reccomend it because i have heard good press/info thus far)

both are available for you car, give me some more specific usage info, I'll get more specific on tireS(we need price range also, bucko)

SDragoness is right ---cheap tire=cheap performance-chet

You think you could put a 235/50 and 255/45 on them?

Not with my current drop. Although i like the idea!

Probably gonna wind up with 245/45 and 225/50, in the ES100's.

And a fat credit card bill. :(

Falken Azenis ST115's aren't too bad, but they might not have the treadlife you're looking for. The 300 rating is supposed to be quite over rated.

Kumho Ecstas 712 is a good bang for the buck tire. Might want to check that out too.

btw, what are the offests on those wheels? 9's are slightly harder to fit in the rear especially if the offset is poo.

Checked it today, gonna have to roll that fender.

I'll be "JDM tyte" completely by accident. :D

Luckily someone in Phoenix has a fender roller, and knows how to use it - Costing me a case of beer. :)

Getting the Kumho's. Found a RIPPIN' deal on them.

p.s. I don't run anything with a treadwear over 280. Evar.
