Hi!Bin busy with other projects, but Im making progress with this aswell.

Gut some help from a friend with painting and sanding the engine bay.Thougt it looked good in black, but this was just the primer. We sanded the primer before the real basecoat.Mixed the paint, it took two layers of basecoat and 3 layers of

I have started putting the car back together, but it takes time. Since I clean and paint all parts. And try not to scratch the paint hehe

I gut my engine block and crank back. Since I use ARP nuts and bults in the block fore my mainbearing caps I have to Line horn the block. When you use another torque then standard the maincaps become deformed. I used the correct torque acording too ARP, and then I measured the maincaps. They had lost its form. So I turned the block in fore a line horn. And to get the crank corrected, it was not straight and had some marks. So they straightend it and grinded it, 0,5mm on the main and 0,7 on the rod.

Once I gut the stuff back I mounted the bearings in the block and in the rods. Then I torque them with the right nm and messured inside the block and rods. Then I messured the diametern each off the journals on the crank. I did this to get an exact reading of the bearing gap. It should be correct acourding to the machinist. But you should never asume anything when building an engine. This is when I found that it was a problem.

Seams like they have horned my block to far, so I have 0,04mm to much bearing gap on the mains. I want to have 0,05on the mains but I have 0,09. And the problem is that I already have the widest bearings. So now we have to grind the maincaps and rehorn the block. Wich will take more time

A picture of the rod wich want be apart of my engine this year hehe.

Picture of the flang I will use fore the downpipe, gut tired on removing the downpipe with all 5bolts. So I welded a v-band on it, so now it should be done with one nut Also a picture of my home made trigger fore the NIRA enginemanagement system. I used a 60lost2 trigger from saab.

Somehow I missed this thread before. I must say, I am more than impressed. This thread had me saying "holy ****!" and "wow" and "this guy does NOT F*ck around!" more than any other thread. You and your brother need to start impregnating women as much as you possibly can. Come to America and knock up as many girls as you possibly can. The world would be a better place with guys like you. I love it, instead of spot-patching the frame, you cut the whole damn thing out and welded in your own. Its nice to see a guy with a GIANT set of berries, not afraid to get right in there. If I ever own a bigass company I am going to hire you and pay you lots of money.Staffan for U.S. president?

Nope, 1 post doesn't cut it. This thread is so bitchin it deserves 2 in a row from me.^ that pic says it all. This car is destined to be a creampuff from hell.

About the radiator. Another thing that has me concerned is the ammount of fans you have. Fans can cause restriction at high speeds. If you do a split set up, maybe only put a fan in 1 tube? Or just put one fan behind the radiator to suck air through the whole system. You really shouldn't need more than 1.

Once again man, looks awesome, best of luck. If anyone ever messes with this car, give me a call and I WILL fly out there and beat them senseless for you.

hahaha What can I say, thats the most funny and motivating post I have ever gotten Thanks alot, glad you like the projekt! I hope the final results want disapoint you!

I think you are right about the radiator fans. I have decided to scrap the whole radiator in the trunk idea.. The info I gut from you guys here and from other people who have driven with the radiator in the trunk. Its hard to get good enogh cooling and im afraid to sqrew up the aerodynamics!

swedish people rule!!!!!!!!!!! good job, i am enjoying the pictures very much

I vote that you make massive airducts in the sheetmetal directly behind the doors and in front of the rear wheel wells.

Dent Sport Garage has the radiator in the back of their s13 maxi 240, they turned the rear quarter windows into large goofy looking ducts for it, check them out. They also have an additional water pump in the back to help the coolant flow.. it was suggested that it could be needed but could also be overkill which wouldnt be good. I know that theirs flowed a little too much and was an annoyance, they probably fixed it by now
