My fiance got hit in my S13 (she's ok)http://www.ammerman.org/240sx/Crash/

At the moment, I can't find an S13 around that looks good. But there's an S14 that caught my eye. The problem is, I have a lot of S13 parts that will go to waste. I just got new Kosei wheels that won't fit an S14 SE. I have a spare motor, transmission and LSD sitting in my garage. And though I suspect alot of the parts I've gathered will fit, I'm sure my Eibach/AGX's will not.

And then I talked to a guy who had an S14 for sale (that had already sold by the time I called him) and stangely enough he said that had owned both and he much prefered S13's. He considered them noticably better handling...

I realize that S13 vs S14 is an age old question but I have quite a few other factors to consider and I'm open to suggestions.

Sorry to hear that man, glad your fiance's ok.

I would wait for the S13 if you already have upgraded parts for it. Do you have another daily driver?

If not, then go for the S14 and start over.

I'm glad that your fiance is ok too.

As the owner of both S13, and S14. I do realize that the S13 has a better handling. I have tokico and sportlines on it though and my s14 was just stock. Whenever I drift, I can control my S13 better. But I decided to have my S14 as my project because it has lesser mile and it's newer. The choice is up to you whether you want to start a 100K mile car as a project or like Touchdown said, start with something new...or newer.

i'm sorry about your car, and glad that your fiance is ok, and basically it's up to you, whatever you prefer more. just try not to rush into buying one without considering everything because you later on don't want to regret it

Sorry about the car , glad your fiance is alright, sure it scared the crap out of her. I agree with Touchdown, you would already have parts to transfer over and you would also have a car for a few spare parts if you can buy that one back from insurance cheap enough, but it is up to you.

My new rims had Yokohama "summer" tires on them, so at the first flake of snow, I had my old crap tires back on.

Thanks for all the feedback. I'm still going back and forth, basically it will all come down to what I can find. The first really nice S13 or S14 I can find for the right price will be mine.
