Yeah I signed up to run in the winged warriors event, I should be running the S14. I'm not that far away and I'm sure I will see you at a few meets.

That is wierd how the manual weighs more. I would think the auto weighs more since of its bell housing (the big squash looking part) and oil cooler on it. But, thats pretty dam good. Hope to see updates + pictures soon.

Well I stripped some of the motor down so I can run the edis coils and different headers. Also took off the A/C compressor so I can mount up the magnetic pickup. Started to relocated the body harness, thinking of just running a complete painless harness because it would be so much easier. Still need to clean up the engine bay and pound it in a little to get the trans to clear. I also organized my tools some and hung up a few posters.

Me having fun

Still have some sound deading towads the back to chip out

The T56(LS1 6-speed) is massive compared to the KA/SR 5-speed. I will take pics side by side when I get a chance. I know I still have to take the trans off the motor.

Damn i wish i had access to a garage like that. I barely have enough room to get my car in my garage. Step dad's work stuff takes up the other half of the garage. Cant wait till the S13 is done. Will defintaly make a trip to see that.

This should be a great project! Props for what youre doing. When I'm older... a nice massive garage like that to play in is near the top of my list.

But for now, I have to settle for fixing all the issues i can on my car in the short times that im home... How i long for a place to do the work when at school.

I would have had it powder coated if I knew everything was going to take this long. I just spray painted it because in the last year local most of the powder coaters disappeared and the only one left does a half *** job and charges a little much. That and I will keep it simple with black.

yea the t56 looks to be the same length as the nissan one. but how do the motor mounts shift the transmission around? like will the shifter be in the back seat or what?

lol, i remember when i used to hang my wrenches and stuff on the wall. i like them in drawers better for some reason.

basically everything you see in this pic is mine, except the 3m cabinet. this summer im quitting the body shop world and looking for a new home for my box

but id trade my box in for a sweet garage like yours any day

North Central Indiana. I looked up greenwood and there seems to be 4 in Indiana. When the weather breaks I'm sure there are plans for meet.

The T56 is a bit shorter. With the mounts I have coming it should place the shifter maybe an inch foward which can be solved by using a Mustang steeda shifter.

I have a big snap on box that stays at home. Its just too big and heavy to move around and I wasn't clearing it out.

i dont get it, why would you keep your tools at home when you clearly need them at that shop. but i agree with you, moving boxes is a pita... the guys at word used a flat bed trailer when the shop moved across the street

I keep my good tools at home because the garage is shared with 2 other friends I don't trust the company one friend keeps. That and I work on my cars at home too and need tools there. Between 3 friends you don't need every single tool down there or you are just wasting room. I still need to get some kind of renters insurance on the garage because my cars are insured but my tools and parts aren't.

The project has been put on hold for a few weeks. I yanked the motor on the S14 to replace a few things. I'm still waiting on the GTO oil pan.

I'm not rich by any means. Just love my cars and find deals where I can. Thats just a storage garage I rent out with a friend. I actually need to sell a bunch of stuff soon to finance new parts.

I'll be moving this to Hyrbids, just a heads up. Unless you want to make a new thread there with anything LS1 related in your project. Let me know.
