Great. So I decided to search online tonight the model number of the JVC CD player that came with my S13, and guess what, I think it's from russia. That's right. Russia.
There are no english sites that deal with this particular model (JVC KD-SX979R), and a worldwide JVC search comes up with zilch. The only sites I can find that have anything about it are shady russian ones. Wonderful.
I wrote JVC an email about it, hopefully I can get my hands on some english manuals and maybe, just MAYBE, the remote that the car's previous owner lost... Sigh... guess if something goes wrong with this thing then I'm pretty much up a creek....
No chance that anyone has this particular model as well, huh? Stand by for a pic...

and christ! I'm reading through this manual here, and I have a bunch of crazy features I've never heard of... the volume level can be adjusted to car speed based on voltage outputs by the alt!?! WTF?? It automatically searches for radio networks broadcasting similar programs while you're traveling?!! I've never even heard of these things... what the hell!?

You said it might be a european model so I went to the JVC-Europe site. It was right there in there downloads section.
I have a Kenwood deck that has way to many features for me to figure out. Instead of Bass and Treble (the standards) you have to set all the individual frequencies for Mid, Highs, Bass, and non fader (for my subs). It's just to friggin complicated.
Plus about six million other things it does that I don't use.
I think I'm gonna sell it and buy something alittle less high end

We used to mix up small amounts of like 10 different liquors we all would skim from our parentals. Mix that all up with something like koolaid or soda or whatever we got our hands on first.
