i noticed it a couple days ago while i was driveing and now lastnight it really hit when i step on the gas my rpms go up like crazy almost like i was in neutral but im not, im in gear and my car barely moves in other words you hear alot of exaust but you see no action kinda like an automatic civic...lol

my guess is that its either my transmission startin to go out or my clutch idk cause when i down shift my clutch still grabs good oh and also now i noticed that when i turn it on it makes this screeching grindish noise...any help???

CLUTCH went south on you.

Pretty straightforward install. Do the entire clutch/pressure plate/throwout bearing/pilot bearing. Grind or replace flywheel. With the flywheel off the rear main seal is a 10 minute changeout.

It helps to have two guys doing it, one with some experience. The instructions are posted in the how to section.

Your clutch is slipping....I cant believe there are 240 drivers that cant recognize clutch slippage. Why arent you driving a civic?

Maybe it's his first manual? He said in his original post he thought its his trans or clutch, so he knows where the problem lies.

Now just to fix it
