My rig died and wont start back up

so i cleaned the engine bay and a little bit later we started it and it ran for about 10 secs before it died and now it wont start. im not getting spark and my distrubutor is clean and dry. i think its the ignition coil but i cant be sure because im not clear on how to test them. anyone run into this and come up with a different solution?

i actually found that its not the ignition coil and have narrowed it down the the ignition control module... i have to order it and it wont be in for 3 days so if anyone has any other ideas i can check in the mean time thad be cool

Damn, im sorry no one will help you man. Usually this board is better than this. The only thing that comes to mind is water in the spark plug holes. Its Happenned to me before. Just throwing it out there. Good luck man.

Back off with the flaming otherwise nobody will answer you in the future. Maybe folks here have other things to do on Sundays instead of waiting for someone like you to post.

As to your problem, remove the distributor cap and see of there's a lot of condensation inside it. If so, use a hair drier on it.

ya im about ten steps ahead of you that was done vefore i check the coil, the coil module, plugs, wires, and resistance tested and ya most likely its not because you guys have better things to do just that you all dont know **** and you just want to be fast and the furious.....take your car back to the shop newb

Did you check to see if there was water in the spark plug holes like hatchielove said? I have had the same problem before to and it was water in the plug holes that was grounding out the spark to the valve cover. P.S. Calm down on the anger thing dude, just because you don't get an answer right away doesn't mean that no one knows the answer, its just that no one that actually knows the answer has not signed on to the site yet. be patient, take a deep breath. lol
