Well after waiting two weeks for it to get to my doorstep, I parked the car in my garage over our pit, and after two hours I had the pulley installed.. installation went very smooth, made sure to put some fresh engine grease over the shaft, and to replace the front seal.

When I first took the car out, it was snowing and I couldnt test out what kind of gains I got, although I did notice the engine felt way wayyyy smother under acceleration.

Then yesterday after things had cleared up a bit, I took the car down a highway near where I live, and gunned it..it was hard to tell a difference right away, my car had been off the road for a week and it was difficult to remember exactly how much oomph I felt before in comparison to what I feel now, to be honest I felt quite disappointed, and ripped off.. seeing as I was expecting more than I got.

But since the roads werent great I decided to give it another chance and I took my car out for another drive today, and it seemed more apparent the more I drove that the car did in fact gain a decent amount from the pulley. The car has a noticeable gain above 3700 rpm, and seems to rev much easier up to redline. 4th gear especially pulls much harder now, and ive on more than one occasion thought I was in third. 1st and 2nd are hard to tell, because anything more than 1/3 throttle will cause my wheels to spin (canadian winters :( ) so I'll have to wait till the roads dry completely to test it out in the lower gears.

So, where at first I was somewhat disappointed, and almost annoyed because I felt I didnt get my money's worth.. after driving the car some more im quite pleased with the extra performance gained. I wouldnt be able to give you an estimate of hp or whp gains just yet, but seeing as not that many people give in depth reviews of these pulleys or the UR pulleys I will keep you guys posted if anyones interested

Btw, I got my pulley from RPMoutlet.com and I was very happy doing business with them, they were informative, shipped my part out promptly, and answered all my emails with any questions I had.

Dont bother with the entire set.. IMHO its not worth it... I can tell you now the biggest difference is just from the difference in weight between the two.. once you get the stock pulley in your hand, and compare.. you'll know exactly what I mean.... damn thing is heavyyyy

I love the way my car revs now =Dno sluggishness and it doesnt feel like its straining at high rpms, feels the way nissan should have made it run in the first place

HrmmDoes changing the UD pulley cause any issues? I thought some weirdness happened where certain things were spinning faster or something.. maybe.. maybe not.. err... sleep

I'd never pay $300 for the UR S/S set--rip off IMO.

The ASP is just as good--it's extremely well manufactured--and it's like 4.5 pounds lighter (maybe 5, I forget) than the stock pulley.

I noticed a substantial gain on mine when I put mine on this summer, but that could be because mine's turbocharged--seemed to want to spool faster, etc. Actually, when I was out on my test-ride I got pulled over! Nothing but a warning though (wow, I was lucky, 60 in a 35--even luckier that he wasn't 1/2 mile up the road when I was doing 95 :D )

thats what i did. i was so close to getting the UR set but i talked to someone that had it and used to have just the crank pulley and they said they couldnt feel any difference at all w/ the other pullies. the crank pulley makes the biggest difference i think.

u have to order new belts becuas the pulley is actually a smaller diameter right? its been a while since i've looked at them. think of it as a turbo making the engine rev faster thats what the pulley does because its lighter.

if you have a DOHC you need new belts for everything except A/C .. if you have a SOHC you only need the alternator/water pump belt replaced.

=D
