Well a few updates.
Changing out the lips on the rear... 17x11.5

On the way to get mounted, or so I thought.

Turns out they sent 18" lips and not 17". These are actually 3.5" lips in the picture which is what i should be running. But I also have some 4" lips which is what the next picture shows. I am rocking about 3-3.5 degrees of camber on this right now. Im going to see if i can run my track in on the lower control arms but i don't think it will make much difference.

Man it looks so much better. Hopefully i can take out some camber. Time will tell.

Next up

Almost done with it. Gotta weld a bung on my intake pipe. Maybe tomorrow if I have time.

Got one delivered. Authentic Bride Stradia II (lower leg bolster than the gias model for street-ability).

Still waiting on some more parts from Raw Brokerage, the RB specialists.

Bride Seat. It barely hits the door panel but when i have it out again i can slot the holes and slide it over some there is plenty of room left and right. If your really tall that might be an issue as it hits the floor side all the way back, but you can put a spacer under it and shim it up some and it would probably clear, but i dont need to so... Whatevaes.... Anyway the sliders and mounts i got didnt work/ bolt up to the seat so i made my own.

More to come when some hp toys come in.

pretty much all racing seats rub the doors when mounted propperly, the advantage to the metal framed seats is a ratchet strap can tweak them a bit

Great Build! I noticed you changed the rear lip on the rear wheels are you still using 295/35/17s ?
Same size tire on the front? I seem to be having trouble finding tires for my wheels (Rota RBs Stagger package)

Yea I kept the 295 on the 11.5. i think it might actually be closer to 11.1/4 actually. anyway i have 9.5" upfront. I cant remember the tire size off the top of my head. 245/40/17 probably.

Some RB26 Aperture for ya.

Measuring depth of thread in the head.

Measured length vs effected oem cam tower bolts. Wow.

Yup 7mm more thread on the Tomei Studs.

Rule number one when dealing with RB motors, quadrupole your anticipated budget. Rule number 1 when dealing with S30s, Quadruple your budget. Put them together and its best just not to have a budget, or a significant other.

Went to the customs office today and got my paperwork done in about 5 mins. Wow, I was impressed.
Got the manifold mocked up. Looks like the steering shaft hits the closed loop section. Gonna have to redo that. Forgot to take pics of the downpipe but wow 4" looks sweeet.

This is mocked up on the RB26 block so i just shimmed it 36mm.

Gonna see if i can clock the turbo like this, will have to get a super tight 90 and also cut the housing as short as i can and weld it.

Doing some more mockup today. Looks like everything clears fine. Downpipe has plenty of room, cept for the closed loop part.

Well, thanks to my ADD I didn't get much done today, lots of tinkering but i did manage to get the oil coolers mounted up, glad that's over, I hate fiber-glassing.

They are kinda small but i think it will be ok. 3" tall x 7.5 wide x 2 thick X2. I will probably make brake ducts on the back side of them once she is up and running.

waiting on parts from supertech... Ordered parts from supertech. 1 week later i ordered RB30 from RIPS in new zealand. Had some custom CP pistons made and all this other crap, shipped over here, ready to go and still waiting on f*** at supertech. Sad...

Well, I have been tinkering some while waiting for parts. Forever waiting on supertech, jesus.

Well I welded some bungs for a oil drain from the head and oil temp sensor.

Got the pan all bolted up and was putting on the AC bracket when i noticed the oil pump wasnt sealed all the way. I torqued it and didnt think much of it. Well, anyway I had to do a slight modification to the block to clear the Tomei oil pump because it is so much bigger than OEM.
If you notice, the rb26 doesnt have the circle cast at the 2 o'clock position.

It hit the tomei pump here.

Terrible picture, but i ground down the circle and had some clearance putty to make sure everything was clearing.

Also tapped the rips manifold for 3/8 npt fitings for idle air and FIC control.

Working on shimming the cams now. Still waiting on shims. errrrrrr

Tinkering with some micrometers.

Well had to work all day today so I didnt get much done. But did get to make some adapters for the knock sensor.

The RB30 has a 12mm extra fine thread knock sensor and the RB26 uses 8mm.

Not sure what I will work on today. Maybe some AC wiring and run a 10an fuel line. This 8an one has me nervous.

Well, haven't had much time to tinker. Did manage to get the front wastegate relocated. I just bought a stainless schedule 10 45 degree pipe and welded 2 tial inlet vband flanges on there and that was plenty. Welded a 90 degree cast elbow on the turbo, and a few other little things. Ordered the 4 inch exhaust stuff and some oval pipe. I got my gauges mounted on my pillar so now i have 4 on my pillar, turned out pretty good. I'll post pics once i get them all wired up. Wiring harness shipped out today, finally.

Little bit of time to start on the wiring... Still a ways to go but here is my progress.

Made an aluminum plate that will bolt onto the firewall.

Then I blind nut riveted the components to the plate which give me the ability to unbolt them without using a wrench or anything on the backside.

Well, this getting dark at 5:30 crap is really hampering my efforts. Sent the harness back to Chase Bays. Got the downpipe finished, that was fun. Now i have about 1/8" or so gap between my steering shaft and my rear wastegate outlet.

Well, it only took me 6 hours to get my turbo oil drain done, holy crap this closed loop is tight. Anway few pics of progress, doesnt look like much but there is so much mock up its crazy.

Still have some fine tuning to do with the gauges but it will get me though crank up.

Coils mounted and wires made.

Havent had much time to tinker. I redid the engine portion of the chassis harness and de clutered it some, got the intercooler pipes done and got my other bride seat, just waiting on the rails to get here from japan. I swapped the alternator over to the Nissan Quest 125 amp vs the 80 amp I had in there. I should make some good progress this week and this weekend.
