I bought a RB25det saturday and drove it 300 miles home.It has a high idle that is very tempermental one stop its 2500 next 1100 then back to 1700. It also has alot of power loss anywhere below 6500 it just doesnt pull like it is supposed to. today when i started it it idled at 1,000 and felt like it wanted to die real bad it also had a slight slight knock you could barely hear it but it was felt.
The car sat for about a year so i figure most of the rubber and plastic and seals are most likely bad and maybe a MAF.
Since i cant register the car im doing a swap to a s13 but first i want to make sure the motor is fine.
If i go from s14 to 13 what extra parts will i need? i know the s13 and 14 are basicly the same but any little things i will need to change?
any info would be cool.
