I have a 1990 Nissan 240sx S13 shell that im gonna start building in june.
But before that im saving up money, doing all research i can, and seeing where i want to go with this car.
I have a lot of information down so far but im not sure if im on the right track, so i need some advice from all the people who have done this build before. :)

What I have so far:
RB25DET Engine and comes with a 5spd Transmission.
First ima fabricate my transmission mounts. My uncle works at a shop and is going to help me out a lot. :bigthumb:
Then im going to buy the McKinney Driveshaft. FMICand piping.
Koyo Radiator, with dual 12" fans (Pushers)
3" Downpipe and Straight Pipes.
An APEXi universal muffler.

Im sure thats all the basics to get the car started and running. Or is it?

For transmission upgrades, im going with.
Spec stage II Clutch kit.
Ill also change some gaskets.
BBM Short Shifter
MPH Speed Sensor

And thats all i got for transmission so far.

For Engine im thinking about replacing a lot of parts while its out. Such as:
Fuel Pump
Front/Rear Oil Seals
Water Pump Thermostat
Gaskets
Thermostat
New Hoses
Spark Plugs
Turbo Lines
BOV
Intake ManifoldIll also get new Hoses, Boost Controller, Alarm, Radar Detector, and brake pads.
For everything i have a price of $4900.00

I only have a budget of $5000.00 so that means i wont have enough for seats haha.
Or lights, hood, fenders, and yea. So am i on the right track so far? or is it more, less?
By the way im doing all the work. Any help is greatley appreciated.

u should move this to the rb forums, u'll probably get more responds there.

but, looks like ur on track, but dont forget about the most important part of the swap, the WIRING..
if ur doin it your self, get ready for some head aches, if u want to save ur self the headaches, well send it of to get it done...

btw unless ur upgrading the turbo n such, i wouldnt mess with lines.. same for the intake manifold..

change timing belt too while motor is out, regardless of date or miles stamped on timing cover. if your on a budget, and want it running perfectly, i would stick with stock intake manifold, other than that all seems good, good luck with swap.

yeah its better to stick with the stock setup until u actually get the swap up n running, u save urself a lot of headaches... i seen guys come in here n change a lot of things on the engine before they install it or get it to run, like the intake manifold n have a lot of trouble getting to run.. i would suggest get most of the bugs worked out of the swap then start upgrading things..

Change the headgasket and get arp head studs. My Rb20 headgasket went 2200miles after I finished my swap. It was just an old rotted out gasket from sitting for so long. That an the timing belt and tensioner/idler and you'll be good to go.

And any rubber hose you can change. I just saw a rb25 powered z32 pop the turbo coolant feed hose and its a PITA to do it in the car. My 20 did the same. It sucked.
