Ok so i have been building my car here and there for the past few years. took me a while to get it going in my s13 but i did it! and was very proud of my work. lots of racing and lots of fun. just thought i would share what i have and what im doing to it now. i am somewhat a little confused on why my rb is so quick and fast though compared to others i have raced and seen in videos. at the time i had it going it was bassicaly stock besides exhaust and at 17 lbs of boost :chuckle: anyway it just seems to be way fast compared to others. i do have a nismo 12 lb flywheel and a one piece driveshaft that weighs 10 lbs. so that would explain why it went through the rpms faster than most, but it is untuned so i have been kinda confused about it but anyway im in the proccess of building the motor again going for bassicaly an all out drift/track car. im trying to get it ready for the season coming up. so my new set up is as follows.

walbro 255
dna motorsports adjustable cam gears
tomei pon cams
port and pollished head done by engine research and development.
custom intake manifold using the gtr rb26 with 90mm TB
3mm thick top mount manifold.
gt35r bb turbo
3 inch DP with v band flang and 3 inch turbo back.
tial 38mm wastegate
800cc injectors
q45 maf

thats what i have done so far im saving atm to get nistune, im curious to know what you guys think i could be pushing for HP wise with my motor stock on 17lbs was dyno'd at 307 whp. so im curious to see what i will be at now. my goal would be to be over 500 just for fun i dont think its not possible but we will see.

I duno where to start. Stock RB20 injectors are 270cc so how did you not go lean and kill your pistons @ 17psi? How did you not kill the stock turbo @ 17psi? Anyway @ 17psi I made 398whp on my SC61 with s*** not working right. I would assume you would be close to that or maybe hit 400whp if everything is working right. Your going to find that 35R to be really laggy (5200 rpm before u even brake 200whp prob). Your MAF will prob be too small with the Q45 but I could be wrong.

i have no idea how i didnt go lean or blow my pistons i accidently overboosted one day to 33 lbs and didnt blow anything suprisingly. anyway i have heard alot about that turbo lagging bad but my head is ported and has alot more flow then stock. i have seen that gt35 spool at 4500 with stock intake setup and stock exhaust set up. i have been told by my buddy who owns racingtrendz that i should be able to spool about 3600-3800 rpm. because of my intake set up and my ported head and because of cams and they way i have my cams set up. so 3600 is that laggy imo my t28 spooled at 3k. but my i have alot of less rotating mass then a stock block too due to my light weight flywheel and driveshaft. so its a big toss up and could go either way but the way i look at it is when your drifting your not below 4k rpm at any given time for the most part your up in the high rpms. but i have no idea im just doing something diff and going to see what happens i supose i thought about doing the 2.4 stroker but i dont have the funds for that now so im not going to but that would have been awesome lol. and i believe the q45 maf is 90mm compared to the stock witch i belive is only 60mm. so i think that should be ok.

If drifting is what you want to do forget the 35R. A 30R with a .63 exhaust would be better. My SC61 is pretty damn close the 35R. Not sure what you mean by spooling since the turbo will do that when you step on the gas.

as you can see full boost isn't till after 5300. The 35R will spool a lot faster if it was a RB25. The ported head might give you a little increase in flow but I don't think it's going to help with the velocity. The 90mm Q45 maxes out faster than the Z32 maf which is smaller. If you want to see my setup just do a search on the forum I have it posted in a few threads.
