Did that solve the problem for you? Did you just wire the orange wire from the dash plug to pin 43 (or 45 can't remember)?

Thanks!
I forget what I did. I think it need power when the key was in the on postion. So I think I hooked it up to the Stock KA one. I forget where in the dash plug it is. And yes it helped my starting problem alot.

This is a great post. Your car is exactly what I'm selling my 944 for. I will certainly use your post as a huge help when I do the swap!

RB25 with a KA a transmission is a terrible idea i would highly NOT advise that, even it you got it to work.

Awesome thread by the way!

I wouldnt reccomend a KA trans on any RB if you plan to m,ake more power than the stock turbo will provide.

It was a budget choice for me. I saved 500-700 on the motorset because it was an auto.

Hey accel, be careful with that fan setup, i have that imperial fan and the stock radiator on my RB25 like that, and my car will overheat if i drive it for too long and there is boiling and bubbling in the heater core, so i dont drive it more than 10 - 20 minutes to and from school every day. At night time its not so bad, but during the day, that thin thing cant handle if for crap.

Kansei,

No worries. I upgraded to a Koyo Race Aluminum back in October. Worked like a charm

My opinion, it might be cheaper and all, but if I am right, and I think I am, the RB25's transmission is more powerful than the RB20, so that RB20 transmission might not hold on too long.......And I didnt know that the RB20 transmission was like a 100% direct replacement for the RB25...................But hey if its not, it might just put you in the hole even more......remember you need, well not somethin u have to have, u will need a new clutch and maybe a throwout bearing( i believe....) and the swap is going to cost some bucks regardless, so you might as well find a motorset, some can be found for like 2500, if you heard of jdmsource.ca, and they have a good rep buy from them, they sell them for 2150....just look for some cheap/decent motor sets so you wont have to go through that with the transmission......

And ohhh yea my bad this is a good thread......Nice swap man and ppl can see whats required for the KA transmission swap, so there wont be 1000 more posts asking the same question........ and i meant the bushing...you guys know what I mean.....
