anyway i was doing a compressrion check and i got like more then halfway done and then the motor siezed it only turns like 90 degrees manually...

what happened? the motor is out and i just put the head back on after fixing valves....so the transmission connected the transmission sort of so the starter could mount.

did a check on 4 cylinders and then bam it jammed!

uhhh.... doesnt sound good.

pull off the trans and make sure something didnt bind the flywheel first. then take off the front cover and check your timing belt.

You know that instinctive flinch you do when you see another guy get kicked in the nuts? I just did that reading this post.

IF you bent the valves they are not repairable, you will need new ones.

Lessons like this tend to stick with a person. I guarantee he won't ever do it again Carl Most of the trueisms I hold close are the product of doing something different, righteously f-in something up an saying to myself "better not do that again". The scars help to remind us as well

the starter is strong enough to snap your arm like a twig, and walk your car forward up a hill easily. rock crawlers use the starter all the time to make forward progress and keep from rolling backwards on steep inclines

so yes, it can bend the crap out of your valves

thus the reason when you see a started tested, it isnt being held in the testers hand while started....

my guess is valves.

I stand on them when I test them and if they simply must jump I let em do it and get the hell out of the way!
