The turbo has to spin faster than it should at a given boost level due to it having to overcome a leak to maintain that boost level..

that's what I thought if it's pushing out air under boost and still making 17psi the turbo had to be going faster luckily this hy35 sees higher boost normally I always tried to not full throttle it because it always felt like it ran weird. I'm glad I know why

I'm pretty stoked compression tested the RB 150 across the board (2 were a hair over like 152-155) I'm just waiting on my tuner to be available. Hope to have some REAL dyno #'s soon...

Got my own consult-usb plug and my wideband hooked up to my laptop. waiting on my tuner to email me a copy of my tune so my friend can fix it vs starting off new. paying for an individual nistune license after my next check on the 5th. once I get my car running right I'm waiting on my tax return (end of Feb or in March) to pay my cars backfees and then for my smog.

I'll update once it's tuned

Update:

Found out a boost limit cut setting that was unadjusted on my tune. It doesnt cut anymore. i fixed many boost leaks one being the Ebay fuel pressure regulator i had. I purchased an Aeromotive FPR. I then incurred a crack in my stupid plastic S14 gastank :( im picking another tank tomorrow though.

I have recieved a burnout nomination from a friend so thursday I shall have a video up of my completed car! (hopefully)

I deleted some of my foolishness from the beginning lol. YES it has been quite the ordeal! thanks for the post

I actually had a 3pin fuel gauge sender plug and this gas tank has a 4pin. I found a pic matched the 3 colors today and now it's Wayyy below empty and the gas lights on so I have to investigate inside the tank. the float could be stuck or knocked out of place from me emptying the old gas out.

sadly my roommate is a bit of a NAZI about no genuine purpose parts lying around so I already threw out my old tank/sender. I saw how big it was while in my garage but I didn't know it just slid out with force I didn't think about it and didn't expect there to be an issue. It was a very long day.

back story: woke up 8am I drove both ways almost 2hrs away that morning for the tank with some friends. Worked 230-11pm went home and it took roughly 4hrs to do the tank swap before needing sleep after realizing the fuel sender plug was different. This was the 2nd time in 2 days (since I first jbwaterwelded my cracked tank) that 1st day of work on the car patching the tank while in rocks on my driveway took 9hrs split again by a 8hr closing shift at work. all by myself.

I have gotten help and parts opportunities have come and me selling parts has panned out so I'm grateful for my resources in California

$791 later my car is registered just need my smog $350 I have a 60day moving permit tho.

I seem to have a dead coilpack or plug check my luck an injector. The spark plug looked fine but I'll try figuring out tomorrow why cylinder 3 is dead. I performed a compression test a month ago and it was perfect I can recheck it tho. Doubt that's it. I bought 7 used let coilpack and harnesses and I believe one had to be unplugged and plugged back in to work. A rat ate some spark plug wires so maybe he got 1 wire on the coilpack harness. Didn't have time after DMV today to investigate

Thanks for reading

My VTC solenoid's GROUND wire was connected to a POWER on my old harness just another problem I had with that harness Rich at Daft Innovations "converted" for me. took 2months for me to get a pile of junk took me 2 days and...

It runs very well and no longer has a cut :dblthumb:

The tune could be better but I will work on that.

I'm relieved to redline. go fast. and drift it almost 4 years after my RB20's turbo went out and I made the switch to this NEO. It has been quite the journey,

Plenty of more $ to spend: I have terrible coilovers , no other suspension upgrades, need wheels, alignment, etc

More updates to come

I literally took them off performance wires from my 5.0 in my 65mustang just the end the goes on the spark plug with the part for the wire squished to contact the coilpack. I wasn't trusting of its connections but thats essentially how I have my #1 setup right now I used the piece off a LS sparkplug wire a that slides over the coilpacks metal contact and it just sets against the sparkplug...

I have 3 LS2 replacement coilpacks being shipped out to me. 2 died almost immediately and 1 that had issues on the old wiring harness is hardly operating

I Ordered:

Pair of 225 45 17 Federal RS-R tires for the front

Voodoo13 Tension Rods
Image

Stance: Aluminum Subframe Bushings, RUCA's, and Toe Rods

Trying to dial in the suspension so I can attend a skidpad event end of Sep/beginning of Oct and in December a fulltrack at Thunder Hill Raceway.

I should do a skidpad event at Sonoma Raceway before these aswell.

Need to order a Boost controller, PBM Tie Rods, Moog Outers or SPL...and solid diff bushings.

Pics of shiny parts installed soon

Ordered a pair of Dunlop Direzza ZII (Star Spec 2) for the front wheels

Ordered a Hallman PRO Boost Controller

Once tires are mounted, I will have to pull my front fenders (10.5" wide wheels all around) and set the ride height where I want it.

Get a final alignment after and its done. :dblthumb: (at least I feel like that is all for now)

I was unable to achieve the camber I wanted as it sits. Need to order 20mm bolt on spacers for the front and I pulled the rear quarter panels today with a fender roller. Once the spacers are on I will need to pull the front fenders quite a bit but I'm not concerned. Smog should be completed within the next 2 weeks.

Tune still needs work
