RB@Well right now I'm waiting on my custom crossmember to get finished and I'm pretty bored, my ka is already out I've cleaned the hell out every possible thing. Well i was wondering what should i use to mount my sidemount, can some one post some pics of how they mounted it and what brackets they used etc,

thanks

Well I'm pretty happy with my clip it only has 77,000 kilometers on it and I paid $1400 for it threw Dragdriftautox.com cause its local for me and Lou is an awesome guy.

Here you can see my freind Rory in the pic

My only complaint is that my oil pan came a little dented (damn forklift drivers)

Well here is the motor out of the clip

Pulled the ka out

Jeez my engine bay is so dirty (not anymore will get pics)

updates soon!!!

my pan came dented as well, i just pulled it off to check and make sure it didnt interfere with my pick up, and it didnt, so i beat the dents out a bit to make it look better and through her back on, you will be fine as long as it didnt mess up your oil pickup.

I second that. My 25 motorset came from them, and he through in everything I asked for. Driveshaft, Stock SMIC. My swap was done a long time ago and it still runs great.

Ah good times, good times. You have to get a pic of you standing in the engine bay, jeez why else do any of us do swaps? As for the SMIC, i just mock mounted the pipes, sawzall'd the appropriate amount of metal off, hooked up the IC, and then used some bolts/heavy gauge steel wire that was used to hold my engine on the pallet to secure the IC to the car. i dunno if any of the brackets will work, but you can try.

Ok well here are some more updates

Here are the pics of the clean engine bay that i promised (notice my Stewy Griffin BMC wrist band oil soaker)

I spent like 10 hours polishing these parts it was totally worth it though LOL.

I'm working on the valve cover

Ok well here are some updates my motor is on the engine stand I'm just waiting on the damn crossmember to get finished.

I'm planning to take off the turbo manifold and wire brush it down and then shoot it with some black heat treated paint, I was wondering though is it neccesary to replace the turbo manifold gasket if you take it off or can you just reuse it? Also i heard that you can buy a sheet of gasket material and cut out a gasket?

I also picked up a 3inch Test Pipe off ebay, and got my flywheel resurfaced.

Here are my KTS tension rods installed

Next planned mods are Megan coilovers and RUCA's.

More updates soon.

bling bling bicthes!im not one for polishing stuff but hey its your car.thats the cleanest s13 engine bay ive seen EVAR! looks good tho.as for the exhaust manifold sand blast it and clear it with high temp clear, but dont leave it rusty and nasty looking or even get it clear jethot coated.......the turbo gasket is just any old t3 gasket but the one going to the head looks like you can use a ca18de exhaust gasket set to replace it.on a side note ive got a complete exhaust gasket set that i dont need anymore, if you are interested email me at iggybig(at)gmail.com .........

Wouldn't a ca18de turbo manifold gasket be only for a 4 cylinder, cause i need a 6 cylinder gasket!!! so does anyone know if those do it yourself gasket sheets are any good. Cause napa only sells the header gaskets and I'm not sure if those can withstand as much heat as a turbo gasket should, Someone please help me. Would it be that bad if i just reused the gasket?

the ca gasket uses individual gaskets for each runner, so all you would need is 6 of them.......my offer on the gaskets i have is still available....carl

12/29/05

I picked up a clutch master cyliner and clutch hard line

Here I'm starting to drill the hole for the Clutch master

And the holes are drilled and the clutch system is all in

Here is how it looks from the inside, notice i also cut the automatic pedal to the size of a manual one.

Ok I finally picked up some Megan Racing 8/6 Spring rate 32 way adjustable coilovers and some Motora RUCA's.

Also i picked up a Walbro 255 lph fuel pump I mean come on you can't leave a skyline motor starving.

And here is the Megan coilover compared to the stock front strut.

More updates soon!!

Ok well my oil pan looks a little F--ked up so hopefully i can fix it.

Well after i took it off it seems that the oil pick up wasn't damaged.

Here are the pics of the rear coilovers and Motora RUCA's installed.
