My rb20 is overheating!!!

i need help on my rb20 overheats when the turbo kick in .i was wondering can it be my intercooler cause i just replace it.and i got a new raidotor ,two slim fans,new thermostat,the only thing i havent replace is the water pump.and i dont want to do that yet tell i know that the problem and i dont have the stock 240 cluster and i dont want any smart a## remarker i just got this car and i need help

Only when in boost? Check timing 1st. Then check for air in coolant system. Check for oil in coolant. Oil cooler installed?

here's a serious question...how do you know its overheating?is the stock gauge maxing out?are you getting boilover into the overflow tank?do you have a proper coolant temp gauge?

+1 on all of that.

And also, did you just get a FMIC? or replace an old fmic with a new fmic? What kind of thermostat? Did you check the water pump prior to the motor install?

I just replace my old intercooler with a new one. and the thermostat i put in is z32.and i know it over heating cause the raidiotor coolent start to go to overflow tank sizzling and the gauges r out of a skyline. and the water pump looks like it was replace i got the car with the rb20 swap in it already.and how can i tell if i got a blown head gasket.

thread jack in progress!! and a revive!how low would the compression need to be to justify a blown head gasket?something like 145, 145,145,"115",150,145hehe poor dead threads

115 = leakdown time. listen for where the air is coming out. stick a hose in the oil dipstick tube and listen for air blowing if you hear it here it's rings

If you hear air blowing through the intake or muffler it's valves

If you see air bubbling through the radiator it's HG.

Also compare the sounds to a known good cyl.
