took her out today, it has no power. idles fine 20hg vac. goes smoothly throught the rpms when wot. boost gauge goes right to 8 psi but doesnt feel like it.

its a rb20 btw.

also when bypassing the heater, do you block off the lines? i connected the inlet with the outlet on the block, but its not ideal.

First things first.

Check timing, check plugs, check for boost leaks.

i put a new set of plugs in . has the original timing belt and timing.

prayed starter fluid on the piping/intake to see if there are any leaks.

has a walbro 255 with the stock fpr, i heard this MAY be a problem but doesnt seem to be running rich at idle. have a fuel pressure gauge in storage somewhere.

mods are, walbro 255 fmic no exhaust, im workin on fabbin up a downpipe.

check sensor under intake manifold... Knock sensor i believe... If its disconnected then she is pulling timing badly. Do you notice the exhaust sounding louder? More of a throtier tone?

I ran a RB20 with the exhaust coming straight out the O2 outlet. That was an experience...

for the neighbors for the 3 weeks I did.

runs smooth just feels about as fast as a dodge neon.

cant even break the tires loose in first with crappy stock tires.

guess i can put a adjustable fpr on. gonna use a accufab unit . used them before. like em.

also got to dig through boxes to get my timing light out. gotta take so mutch crap off to look at the plugs but will do that to.

anyone know about the heater inlet/outlet on the block? block em or connect em?

Dump the Rb20 and buy an rb25/26...

Anyways like other people have mentioned before timing, boost leaks, fpr, knock sensors, maf...

As for the water lines you want to loop them, don't block them off.
