I just paid for this truck today. It's a 1991. Got a good deal on it with the wheels and tires. I am thinking chrome Cragar Nomad II's and the Nissan SCCA red/white/blue race colors on it. It does have a roof rack which also makes me half tempted to put "Peeping Tom Inc." on the side with a bunch of ladders up top. It's was purchased at Napa Nissan in Napa California. It's only been in NY state for about 4 years. There are scratches on it which is OK with me, I can actually drive it without having paranoia. In 4 years I can get classic car insurance. It's 2wd, it's auto, it the base fleet model with no A/C. It needs fuel lines but overall is in decent shape. If the transmission blows I plan to swap it to 5speed. Here's some pics.

I'm still around, just at a very limited capacity. I am thinking more and more about the Peeping Tom thing as well. It would offend so many people which doesn't bother me one bit.

Boy have we come a long way on this beast. So I bought this for $800 with the wheels and the ladder rack. I sold the wheels for $350 and the ladder rack for $50 which put me $400 into buying the truck. I have less than $100 in fuel and brake lines (had to replace all the brake lines in the rear and all the fuel lines along the frame). Completed I have a little over $500(+/-$$) into this truck total, that also includes the Pathfinder front end swap. Just got done swapping the tonneau off the Frontier and the speedo cable. Ready to rock this thing got me 24MPG for the first tank average...I am still checking to see what the actual average will be. I've put 500 miles on it so far and it's been great!

I like that bumper better than the stock chrome POS (like the one I have). Is that swap pretty straight-forward?

That's actually a chrome bumper covered in plasti-dip.

How exactly did you pull that off?

I cleaned the bumper with glass cleaner then just masked off the lights and the fenders. Shot 3 coats. One light and two thick. Let dry. Re-assemble. Done.

I assume you used a pressurized paint system of some kind? Sorry, I was looking for details. I should have said so...

Nope, Plasti-Dip comes in a spray can and can be found at Lowes. I'm not trying to over-simplify the description, it just really is that simple.
