Whats up NICO? How are yall, well my J30 has been running great, I need a new muffler, but other than that Im good.

My radio went out on me though and I took it to Circuit City and they told me that I need an adaptor to connect a aftermarket stereo to the speakers and such. So my question is what is this adaptor piece and can I find it somewhere so that I can install it myself?

All replies are helpful thanks yal.

most car audio shops have the wiring kit for an aftermarket deck...if you can find one in any store theres always crutchfield

You didn't mention the year of your J.

Filling out your profile helps alot. Here's the adapter for 94 and up.

A little clue about crutchfield.Use your year and select Nissan Maxima. If you select J30 it will say no items found.Maxima had the same HU Ive been told.

It looks like a harness for a 96 might work key word is might word is might. The harness connectors appear to be the same although I cannot find a pin out for the J30 in the archaic wiring diagram.Although some time spent studying both of the diagrams makes it look very similar. It could work I don't know of anyone who has done that, but I know there are a bunch of people out there with aftermarket radios in their Js.
