Ok... I've written several posts regarding trying to get a crankshaft pulley on my 1998 QX4. Regardless of what I tried it would not go on the crankshaft. So, I brought it to my mechanic only to find out that the cranshaft in my engine is larger than it is supposed to be?! The micromotered three separate crankshaft pulleys and my crank... called Infiniti to check things out... and, yep, my crankshaft has a larger diameter than it should. They had to machine out the inside of the pulley by 3/1000 of an inch to get it to fit.

Anyone heard of anything like this? They think it may have been a problem in production that they just 'band-aid' fixed. Isn't this only supposted to happen on Fords?

I decided to post this in case, some day, some poor guy is banging his head against the ground trying to figure out how to get his pulley on and searches this forum for some answers.
