My Quest 125A Alternator installed

I googled install kit for Quest alternator rb26dett and found a thread in the SR forums for codyace's kit. Figured it would work so I told him I wanted one and he shipped it like 30 minutes after I paid for it,literally. So it arrived today and I noticed that the top ball end wouldnt allow the bolt that goes through the water pump to fit. You can drill through it if you have some titanium bits but I just pressed the ball out and pressed some washers in,used a little JB weld for a tad bit offiller,drilled it out(washers would have been enough) and used a washer on the inside and outside where it mounts to the water pump. Anyway this looks great and adjusts really easy.

Nice! Definitely digging the turnbuckle style adjuster. I might have to see if mcmaster sells one that fits....

Codyace is working on one that is a direct bolt on for us RB guys..Im giving him the bolt length and belt length today and he is making a kit. Thanks I hope to have it running this weekend! Cant wait!

that's a pretty clean solution. i'd be interested in a final kit or just the specs on that heim joint. my self-weld bracket doesn't quite let the alternator pivot correctly up top and led to me snapping my tensioner bolt a few weeks ago.
