Somebody smashed my Q and now I'm getting really frustrated with these stupid people that live around here. The damage was in a parking lot. A hit and run. :tisk:

When I bought my car it was flawless. Then I started to get the door dings and I was upset. Then the scrathes that followed made me mad. Now I'm furious. I think the damage will be around $2000 if the work is to be done professionally. I just can't catch a break with this car. :frown:

Lino, I'm sorry to hear it.

Be prepared for the rush of people who want your interior :P

Junkyard parts and good friends and you can get it fixed pretty cheap, minus the paint. Really stinks man.

It's why I always park in ridiculous locations in parking lots, far away as possible, because those who hit cars (soccer moms, drunk people) always park as close as possible!

Wow... I'm very sorry to hear that. It might be worth your while to see if the business has parking lot cameras that can identify the scumbag perp. that hit you.

DAMN man i love your car, That really sucks man, let us know what you decide to do, I'm in need of a drivers seat and you have the same interior as I. But I would honestly love to see you get it back together, I think its worth it. When i had my 93 some guy in a newer buick rear ended me and pushed his whole right fender into his hood. Nothing happened to my bumper just a few scratches in the plastic. And ya I always park in wierd spots, use the parking light poles and curbs to aid you from other cars and shopping carts.

Thanks guys for the kind words. The car is still driveable and will at some point get repaired. The damage is only to the body, nothing mechanical. Painting body panels and blending into other panels with pearl paint gets quite expensive.

Heath: no luck with cameras :frown:

BCC93QT: It is worth it for me to keep it, because of the amount of work that I have invested into it.

Lino, that really sucks. People are such "expletive", they probably laughed as they drove off. I have had that happen to me, I park SOOO far away from stores now, its probably overkill.

I was once lucky enough to catch a Lonestar Steakhouse employee rip off a customers bumper cover in their parking lot when she was going on a break. She just drove off like it was nothing - looked at the person's bumper and kept going.
I grabbed the manager and told him if he didnt call the police to file a report, I would. He was hesitant, so I volunteered to make a scene in the restaurant to find the person who owns the vehicle. So he called them, we found the owner, the girl came back from the store, TOTALLY DENIED IT after I retold the story right in front of her and the car's owner, etc. After the cop found paint on both vehicles that match one another, she ended up getting ticketed for it and a ticket for lying to a police officer. :poke:

If you see someone doing this and driving off and can do something about it, it's invigorating.
