Viton has a lot of good qualities and is compatable in many chemical applications. It's also very expensive compared to the more common buna-n or nitrile. Not too pricey for a small fuel injector o-ring but if they are much larger the cost can easily be in the $100's (chemical pump size) for one o-ring. It can also be a little quirky (i.e. swelling/softening) with just a few chemicals so hopefully it's not in one of the additives we pour into our fuel systems.Q45tech wrote:If you look at 2002 returnless systems the hose has a viton/teflon [flurohydrocarbon inner liner
It's pretty safe to assume that our G50's are using viton also so I probably won't be spending any time in the o-ring aisle at Home Depot trying to match sizes. OEM wins again.
