Q is currently out in the driveway, pissing out its transmission fluid in anticipation of receiving a drink of 5 fresh quarts of Redline D4 ATF as its xmas gift from me.She was a good girl this year,no problems and running strong at a ripe old age of 303K.

I'm with you. Yesterday mine got 5 quarts of Nissan Matic S (per Level 10 warranty requirement) for basically the same reason. How many miles between ATF changes?

15,000 like clockwork.fluid looks like new coming out,and seems like a waste to change it that early, but it has proven a wise investment so far.

I agree with your change interval. Are you running an aux trans fluid cooler or the stock dual radiator cooler? I'm running the dual radiator setup like a 94-96 model.

Here's a look at the fluid after 20,000 miles. I'll be changing it at 15,000 mile intervals going forward.

While it didn't look bad on the dipstick or have a bad smell, there is a big difference in the color from old vs. new in a side-by-side comparison. I'll be changing it again soon. I can sample it to compare to new ATF where it should look clear.

yeah, that is a huge color difference......they say new/rebuilt trannys produce most of their wear particles in the 1st 15-20K miles of use, which may explain what you are seeing.
