Here is what the Z looked like when i got her for $400.00 she had no brakes what so ever. Now she has drilled/slotted rotors with performance pads.

I put the shaved door kit on myself and also am currently working on a custom bodykit from a 240sx it needed alot of cutting and bodywork but its commin out nice

I dig the 240 front bumper for some odd reason, is that a lancer in the back?

The front bumper is pimpin. Looks like you're pretty handy at bodywork. Keep us updated.

Please though, for the love of god, no fancy vinyl/decals on the Z31. Keep it clean

1) Smooth here. This is a very obvious mating point and the overall look will be much better with it gone.2) Smooth this out more, or curve the angle so that it follows the curvature of the front bumper.3) More smoothing here. You may not be done, but it looks like there will be quite an angle here, like #1. Smooth it out by cutting it down, or by building up the fender. Whichever works best for you.4) Ditch the stock turn signals, or get some more up to date ones. The ones from a 240SX or perhaps a Z32 would look good if you replace them. But if the body kit has a place for turn signals (which it looks like it does), use that. Much better overall effect.5) Fill in this little... line thingy. It just doesn't look like it would mesh with the rest of the body with what you are doing. It's basically just there to break up the curvature of the car to make it look more interesting, but with the side skirt you have it isn't really needed. If you can shave the whole car of it then good, but if not then do the front at least.6) I'm not sure what this is supposed to be, but get rid of it.

I'll photoshop up a post-mod pic in a bit.

Here's one with the mods I suggested:

And I drew on the seam line I would follow for the front bumper (assuming you want to be able to remove it):

Anyway, your car your choice. You obviously have some bodywork skills, just offering up my 2 cents.

Simply incredible what happens when you sniff too many paint fumes. If you wanted a 240, buy a 240. I think that's the 3rd ugliest "bodykit" I've ever seen on a Z31. But you're well on your way to moving into second place.

No. I'm just the first person to be vocal about it.

There are plenty of body kits available if you want to search and pay for them. A large number of them are listed on my site:http://www.az-zbum.com/information.body.kits.shtml

How are you blending the 240 kit to the body of the Z31? Fiberglass or is it all body filler?

You miss my point. Smooth out the transition, like it looks in the photoshop I posted. The center has been made flat instead of that awkward hump. And the opening for the lights has been brought out and besides being flattened (relative to the curvature of the bumper), has been curved off to match the shape of the front of the bumper.

AAh, the dulcet tones of rage. Where have you been ZBum?

You're kidding right? He's posting up pictures of his car on the internet. He's automatically subjecting himself to opinions, snide remarks, laughter, butt kissing, judgments about his manhood, etc. It's the *** damn internet!

Everyone one always says to me less work... I know there were a lot of kits but this is what I want to do when I am done no one will have a Z like mine but it does hit the wallet.

If you had bought one of the kits from Japan or Germany, you could have had something unique and hit your wallet while still being less work.

Don't get me wrong. I admire you for the amount of work you're putting into it. But it is definitely not a direction I would ever consider going.
