good enough? oh and we have thousands of parts suppliers all across ontario, i used to work for the bumper manufacturer for the Oakville Ford Assembly
Unfortunately, the big 3 are closing plants left and right, blaming consumers that thousands of workers are losing their jobs because we buy foreign...when they were shipping jobs to Mexico 10 years ago. Cant blame them...back in the 90's a guy with a high school diploma could make $70k a year, full benefits doing assembly. Skilled guys like mechanics with enough overtime were clearing $120k (i know one), and they had student programs where if you were in school theyd give you a job with no benefits with hourly wages of $26/hr. my friend still has this job.....hes in school for the 7th year (wonder why) and most of his job consists of relaxing and reading news papers.
The big 3 got rich on the Made In America idea. They built cars to last a certain amount, the japs surpassed them and although american cars in general have great quality standards....their right on par with competition, and have been for the last 10 years.
if anyone wants to add to this, quote me and start a new thread as i dont want to be a hijacker. i mean im already a traitor for driving a jap-crap aint i. yeah....im the one that made you lose your job arent i.........
