I am finally retiring my '89 s-13. I am staying with the 240 though and buying a '96 s-14.

59k miles, non-SEpower windows, locks, mirrorstape deck, cruise, 5 speed, excellent paint excellent interior, very clean engine compartment and undercarrage, good feeling clutch, brakes, and driving at all conditions

Purchase price ~ 6k plus trade in

unfortunately they dont want to give me a warranty. Are there any specific things they could do to make a bad problem look so good? I have a good feeling about the car, but want to make sure Im not missing something important.

If you have any friends in the mechanic/ body shop buisness take it to them and make sure the everything is good. If the car is in good shape, it sounds like you got a deal. Congrats.
