Ok. well i replaced my ignition system and its getting plenty of spark, and plenty of fuel, but the damned thing still will not start. Any suggestions would be great. I have about reached my last nerve with this car, so you 240 pro's speak up here. Thanks.

Well if your getting fuel and spark what about your timing? were you doing any work on the car before it quit or did it just not start one morning? if you are getting spark fuel and the car turns over it is probally timing.

well the water pump disintegrated because the previous owner did not have the bolts tightened, to my knowlegde the car was stopped before it over heated. the fan was destroyed and the crank pulley was damaged, but i just want to get it to fire up before i waste money on all the other parts. Could there be a compression loss? How can i check this without a compression tester at my disposal. I don't see how the water pump going out could throw off the timing, but the car did run perfectly before it went out.

Might have blown your head gasket if it overheated.

well my timing is dead on and the damn thing won't start. I may just go ahead with a ford v8. At least I know how to fix those when they break. POS. Anyway. I used a compression tester and none of the cylinders are showing anything, but that could just be because the car hasn't run in sometime. it will go up to 30 but thats about it.

ew that sucks, you must have obd2 then if you are going to get a tester. That would be where I would go next..
