Nope. The hopeometer is the fuel gauge for the changemobile. I didn't post this one because I need a scanner to see it right.

I'll see if I can find a scanner and get a better copy. The car is labeled "change" and the man in the Obama shirt has his thumb out holding a gas can labeled "hope". Note how distinctly old fashioned the changemobile appears.

Haha, nice. You should submit those to your local paper.

I like the compass use or whatever you used that was round and then the indicators, not so round. I know, I'm being picky but I notice those things after being in the photography business for a few years. That's why I could also never be an artist. I demanded perfection when I used to draw and I would get too frustrated with myself to continue.

I used a CD and a coaster for the gauge, and free handed the rest. I think maybe I will send them to the paper. That's a good idea.

I also find it interesting to interpret drawings and art.

Here's an interpretation of the first one.

The Hopeometer is perfectly round and large. The indicators on your Changemobile are not perfectly round and are small. Hope was a big part of his campaign and could fit to anyone's situation, making it perfect for them. But the gross realities being shown in his early presidency is that he is not perfect and his policies are not very well liked either, exposing the imperfections. But to some people, these are only small issues.

Catch my drift?

I'd have to agree with you. I wasn't for Obama being elected. When he was, I had genuinely hoped he would do what he said he would. I figured perhaps things would change but the realities of his administration are the same old thing. The hope I had ran out, and much sooner than I expected. If you note the car is out of hope just after the on ramp. With my hope for the promised change gone, change I would have personally loved. I would LOVE to see politicians work for the people, not for the party, but what I've seen so far indicates nothing but business as usual. I guess for the next one, my guy is going to get picked up in a big SUV labeled "THE NORM". I'm off to sketch.
