My pathfinder..have some questions.

Alrighty...My sister had a 99 1/2 pathfinder SE. Well she has gone off to Basic Training for the army..and i get her car. The SUV is 4WD (hi and low) and has 92,800 miles on it (yea she drove it ALOT). but anyways...we have had the second gear replaced in it after she shifted into 4wd while moving (a dumb $2,400 move). The Transmission guys forgot to put a bolt on connecting the cat and the exhaust...so it only has one bolt in it. What size is the bolt on the exhaust? I am planning on going ot get one from Home Depot or something..my mom doesnt wanna go back to Mr. Transmission. Also...the P,R,N,D,D,1 plactic things next to the shifter hav e cracked off and now it only says P,R,N,D...and the rest is white plastic. Is this replaceable and how much will it cost? where can i find it? Another thing happened (she really ragged this thing out)..she broke the key ring hole on the key. She went to teh local Nissan dealership and they said that it would cost about $250 dollars for a new key! because it has the chip in it. So how can i fix this until i get the money to get a new friggin key? I was thinking about drilling a hole in the top somewhere but i am scared that it might ruin the key(if there are internals to it).What should i do?Ok last question...I heard that 99 1/2's had the 3.5L chain drive motor? but is a SOHC 3.3L motor...I know its a 99 1/2 but qhy dont i have the 3.5L motor?!

Thanks guys/gals.O yea..and i also have white gauge faces already on there...they came with the car and they light up white in the back ground...just thought i should let yall know...b/c i see a lot of people asking about white gauge faces. I can post a pic soon of them if anyone wants to see them.Michael

welcome aboard michael.

1) the bolt is a 10x1.25 thread with a 17mm head.2) the shift indicator is only offered with the shifter I believe and the dealer is your only source. How much I dont know.3) dont drill near the blue chip you can see if you look where the metal portion meets the plastic head. most of the plastic has nothing in it. the blue chip is all there is and it goes in the key about as far as it is wide.4) no the 99½ pathfinder had significant body and trim changes but the engine remained the same until late 01 production.

The white face gauges are typically part of the se package.Enjoy the ride man you got your hands on a pretty decent vehicle.lots of info to be found on this site as you have seen.
