My pathfinder 2001 remote stopped working

My 2001 Pathfinder key remote has been giving me trouble since I got the car in 2006, I would have to replace the battery every month, as it would just stop working, and now, even with a new battery it has just stopped working altogether. Can anyone help me with this?

honestly i had this problem and it drove me nuts.

what i did was take the remote smash it and then purchase an alarm system that had power locks which is just about every alarm now even cheap ones.

My range on it now is awesome and works everytime.
