First off, I'm not a noob to the forums, i had another screen name AlpineReliant, but for some reason, i cant remember the password, and i cant for the life of me remember the email for the "forgot my password" link! So i had to register a new one.

I have a g35 coupe, my passenger side window rolls up fast, but when I roll down the window, it drags. I noticed that when it was really hot (88 degrees and up) the window would lag, but in the cold it was better. Now it just seems the window is slow no matter what the temperature is, i feel the motor is going out. Is that a fair assumption?

The windows are clean and there isnt any gunk on the weather stripping to slow it down.

1) Should i buy the window regular motor? 2) Is it easy to install?

Thanks for anyone who chimes in and gives an opinion.

I am not familiar with the motors on the Infiniti, however with other motors I have been associated with one difference is what bears the thrust in different directions. It may be possible to put new bushes on a motor and solve the problem. This is if it a motor problem which there is a possibility it is not the motor. I would take the door panel off and try to watch the whole assembly move in both the up and down directions. The problem may just be obvious.

The easy route is the motor replacement. You could take the door panel off, but the regulator skin base would prevent you from seeing if anything was afoot (perry) If it were made of glass, you could see the whole thing in operation though... You could take that apart, and inspect everything before getting a new motor though. Only 3 bolts hold your door panel in, and 8 plastic rivets. Once that is off, like a dozen bolts for the skin, and the 2 that hold the glass, which would have to come out before you remove the skin. The motor part number is 80730-CD00A. For all G35 coupes 03-07.

all right check it out. I finally got my replacement window motor shipped from West Covina Nissan. I was estatic to put it in. I JUSt put it in 10 minutes ago (155pm) and the window still does not work! it's a possibility they could have sent me a non working part, but i doubt it. Anyone have any other ideas for me about my window STILL NOT WORKING? i just spend like 200 bucks on this damn motor and my window still doesnt roll up and down.

any fuses?any circuit?

im out of ideas.

Are you sure there is power to the motor?

If not then you could have an issue with the power window sub switch.

With the operation of the normal switch for the passenger side energized check terminals 8 and 9 on the power window sub switch for power to the window motor. Check continuity on pins 3 and 15 on the power window sub switch for limit switch operation.

On the sub switch make sure a good connection is had on pin 16 for the power window serial link.

Do you have illumination?

Now as a simple test and before you do any of this (with the exception of looking for illunimation), jumper from the door frame to the body to test for operation or do a resistance check from the door to the body. Power window sub switch pin number 11 has to be at ground or all bets to the rest are off.
